Sustainability

Working with 1% For The Planet, 1% of La Playa Reserva our sales go to preserving our coastal water resources.

Early motivation to use green practices was easy; sustainable grapes yield clean, unspoiled, varietals. Our efforts have gone past the vineyard and into the winery and employees, ultimately earning Viña La Playa the highest accreditation in Chile, “Certified Sustainable.”

The V-Label is an internationally recognized symbol for vegan products. We are proud that Viña La Playa is one of the only Certified Vegan wineries in Chile.

Utilizing green sustainable practices is very important to our company and wineries we represent. These practices include conserving precious water resources both in the vineyard and the winery, composting grapes skins and pulp for fertilizer.

Biodynamics is the most advanced form of organic farming. It uses natural preparations and composts, to bring the soil and vines into balance, resulting in exceptionally pure and expressive wines.

USDA Organic is a very important certification for our wines. We don’t use synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms throughout the vineyards, making for very clean and organic wine.
